Kelli Johnson LICSW has been a licensed clinical social worker for 19 years. Her work in social work has led to her having a passion to work with people who experience an array of challenges including anxiety, depression, workplace injuries, chronic pain, disability and more. She worked for many years in diverse populations including trauma and homelessness. Her passion to help others has led to her desire to work more with clients thinking patterns than social resources, though she still loves to aid in building balance and stability.
Kelli grew up in the Coeur d’Alene, ID and has lived in the pacific northwest her whole life. She grew up loving the outdoors and being active in her community. Some of her hobbies include camping, boating and occasionally ghost hunting and solving mysteries. These passions have led to an eclectic and vast array of “outside the box” thinking and provide a welcoming approach to therapy that individuals are often looking for.
Kelli has certifications in cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis (CBT-P), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), compassion-based therapy, solution focused therapy and more. She is hoping to gain further knowledge in other evidence-based approaches including accelerated resolution therapy and eye movement desensitization reprocessing. She will be working toward this training and hoping to offer this to clients soon.
